Twitter is turning into one poignant tool to urge the citizens of the nations to do their bit for the country. What probably started with an insipid ALS Ice bucket challenge that gave away to Book Bucket challenge and the recent #BangBangDare has instilled the idea of Clean India Challenge as well. Started by our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this challenge appointed nine celebrities to fulfill the challenge. These nine celebrities would further appoint nine others and so on.
Our tech savvy Prime Minister indeed came up with an innovative way to tackle the issue of cleanliness that had been ailing the Indian for long. Modi came up with this challenge towards the end of his speech at the launch of “Swachh Bharat” campaign. Actor Salman Khan, Actress Priyanka Chopra, Actor Kamal Haasan, the entire cast of comedy show “Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chasma” and the cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar were few celebs who were urged by PM to kickstart this challenge.
