Today happens to be the Birthday of the megastar, superstar, the millennium star from our childhood, teenage, adolescence and oldage, Mickey Mouse. We can’t stop raving about the cuteness of this l’il thing. He made our childhood memorable; we still adore him and will continue to do so. But what is it about this most famous rodent on the planet that we love? Well, we don’t really know. But he is the magnum opus of Walt Disney and we admire him.
Best known as “Walt Disney’s famous mouse”, he was born in the year 1928 on 18th November. This happy-go-lucky chap starred in Walt Disney’s short film Steamboat Willie and soon became a repeat and the most loved figure in Disney films. For past 86 years we have associated Disney with Mickey Mouse, in fact it is the first ever thing we all learnt as a child. It is the fun, goodwill, the laughter and the creativity of this creature that got Walt Disney hooked to it. For 86 years the company grew with the popularity of the mouse, they were the mirror image of each other.

Such is his fame that even now we are star struck at the sight of Mickey Mouse and it’d be a pleasure to shake hands with him, won’t it?
The goodwill of this chap got him a perpetual status in our hearts. Much like what he seems to have predicted,
His goodwill was praised even by the Former US President Jimmy Carter. Carter once said, “Mickey Mouse is the symbol of goodwill, surpassing all languages and cultures. When one sees Mickey Mouse, they see happiness”.
Indeed Mickey is an emblem of happiness, perhaps the morals of the cartoon maker are reflected in the caricature since Walt once said, “I’m Mickey Mouse. They don’t know who’s inside the suit”. Walt Disney believed:

And when we do not have a friend to share our thoughts with, Mickey says, Come on, I will be right beside you, because we are friends. We are friends. ‘Have been bestestestestest of Friends, ever since our childhood. This is no peripheral love we harbor for Mickey. In fact he has been our style icon for ages. His red shorts with white buttons and white gloves were one outfit we always wanted to fit ourselves into. And we’d want to try it even today!
We only want more of Mickey Mouse ‘coz he is one creature who comes with life time validity, once recharged he’d make you frolic till the very end. Even the creator of this chap says, “I love Mickey Mouse more than any woman I have ever known.
